After the Air Jordan 5 and 6, Jordan Brand expands its Paris Saint-Germain collection by giving the Air Jordan 4 a PSG makeover. Since the initial leak in July, Nike and Jordan insider @zSneakerHeadz has provided us with another detailed look at the upcoming AJ4s.
Taking inspiration from the French region of Bordeaux, the PSG Air Jordan 4 features the hue of its red wine throughout the body. While the silhouette is certainly faithful to the usual Air Jordan 4, the color combination is refreshing to the eye.
With white premium leather acting as the backdrop, the reddish purple color can be seen on the eyelets, heel tabs and outlining the upper. Contrasting the purple are the black Jumpman logos, sockliner and ankle straps.
In the forefoot, a subtle grey suede panel accentuates the upper. A “PANAME” tag sits above the mudguard, acting as a reference to Paris and its suburbs.
Underneath, a classic Air Jordan 4 sole design can be found: midsole with an exposed Air bubble enveloped by a black outsole.
From what we’ve gathered, the PSG Air Jordan 4s has a tentative September 1 release date. If you’re looking to cop, make sure you know its price tag: $225 USD.
