Looks like Nike is getting their muse from the ordinary: a kids-exclusive Air Foamposite One will get a makeover heavily inspired by “Thank You” plastic bags. In fact, the word is that an Air Force 1 Low iteration sharing the same inspiration is also in the works. Today, we take an official look at the upcoming Nike Lil Posite One.
Knowing where Nike got their vision for this pair, it is no surprise that the kids’ Foamposites is dressed in crisp white. While the majority of the upper is constructed with foam, glossy white leather graces the eyestay and collar areas to give a mix of textures.
Graphics and text heavily inspired by Thank You plastic bags can be spotted on the medial sides, not too overpowering even in the sharp tone of University Red.
Adding to the plastic bag aesthetic, a smiley face and the “Have a Nike day” logo adorn the heel. A tiny Swoosh on the eyestay tops it all off.
Underfoot, things are kept rather simplistic with a icy translucent outsole. Tying the design together is the “Just Do It” print all over the midsole.
Although not a fancy pair with an exciting backstory, the Foamposites definitely can be appreciated for transferring design elements from a plastic bag onto a pair of premium sneakers.
Coming with a price tag of $180 USD, these kicks are scheduled to drop on September 1st. So be sure to check them out on their release day!
