There are a lot of good things for the Air Jordan 3 retro. It is stylish, comfortable to walk in, and made of quality leather. Performance-wise, these basketball shoes leave much to be desired. There is no cushioning in its hard mitzvah; Injuries to your knees and feet after a competitive game.

Cushion

You already know, my knees can’t handle the cushion on my legs. Polyurethane mitochondria are very dense for me, and even with an insole displacement, I was only partially painless up to a certain point. There are some contractions, but they are overall.  If you are young, you will not have much of a problem, but for some of us older players, especially older players who can run even faster, we need to absorb as much impact as possible so that our bodies can withstand- the court game.

Traction

The traction surface is similar to the Air Jordan II and worked well no matter what you did. The system is plentiful throughout; the giant pivot point does not hinder their effectiveness. Of the first three Air Jordan models, AJ1 is best fitted with traction, but AJ2 & 3 is above average.

Fit

The areas covered by the eyelids were fine. I enjoyed a complete lock from mid-foot to heel. When moving at a high speed and in a rapidly changing direction, the forearm was unable to handle the torque applied to the objects, so there was a small drawback because you could feel your forearm slipping slightly when enough pressure was applied. Overall, I cannot complain because it’s common in the 80s and 90s shoes, so what’s worth it, it did most of its work.

Material

Enough on the skin and it has some durability. The flexibility of the material was good and I had no real issues with that. As for the lighter gray panels … cheaper materials were used that one could find, which is where I got irritated. If I had used white/cement paint, this would not have been a problem, but this particular version was desirable with those panels.

Ventilation

When there are holes, they do not fully puncture, so they are more of an appearance than they serve a purpose. This caused the material to soften while playing – trapping heat and moisture inside – but again, ventilation was not popular again in this era, so this is to be expected.

Support

The arch will give you the best fit and support while keeping the foot flexible. I would say that the rubber heel cup worked, but it was not used as it was on the Air Jordan.  The fit from the middle to the heel was substantial enough that it did not impede overall performance.

Style

The Air Jordan Retro III is considered the best in the Air Jordan due to its innovative mid-top shade and popular elephant print design. This is the first Air Jordan with a visible Max Air unit and the signature Jumpman logo. Completing the shoe’s OG look is the “Nike Air” branding on the heel.

Air Jordan 3 Retro’s Special Color Ways

During the original launch of the Air Jordan 3 in 1988, four colorways were available. They are now classic white / cement gray, black / cement gray, fire red, and true blue.

Beginning in 1994, the Nike and Jordan brand released several OG and iconic Air Jordan III new colorways.

Includes Black Gate, Silver Anniversary, Tornbach, PHM, Stealth, Retro ’88, Infrared 23, Wolf Gray, and Women’s Exclusive White / Port Blue-Border Blue.
